About
More context for food choices. Better records for the next visit.
Gout Radar is built around a simple boundary: software can help organize observations and explain an estimate, but it must not pretend to know a diagnosis, a future flare, or the right treatment.
Product principles
Confirm before saving
Image analysis is a draft. Users review ingredients, portions, visible factors, and confidence before a record becomes part of their history.
Missing is not zero
No measurement or record is represented as absent evidence. Summaries distinguish missing days from observed zero.
Local by default
Long-term health, medication, flare, hydration, meal, and laboratory records remain on the device by default.
Evidence boundaries
Food-reference context in version 1.1 uses a reviewed purine-food reference derived from the 2024 Nutrients review by Kaneko and colleagues. Where appropriate, product documentation also points to USDA FoodData Central and the American College of Rheumatology guideline. A citation supports context; it does not turn an image estimate into a laboratory measurement or personal medical advice.
